Nargiz Aliyeva: At the Crossroads of Psychology and Healing

13 July 2025

Although Nargiz Aliyeva began her academic journey in philology, her professional path led her to a deeper exploration of the human psyche. She continued her education and career in Moscow, graduating from the Institute of Psychoanalysis with a specialization in “Practical Psychology, Fundamentals of Diagnostics, and Psychological Counseling.” She further expanded her expertise by earning certification in Gestalt therapy, embracing a multifaceted approach in her practice.

What sets Nargiz apart is her constant drive for growth and her openness to various schools of psychotherapy. This journey took her to Ankara, where she studied Family Constellation Therapy at the Academy under a direct student of Bert Hellinger, the founder of the method. Later, she successfully completed the “Code of Life” training led by renowned Russian psychologist Mark Ifraimov.

Dedicated to continuous development, Nargiz frequently attends international supervision and training programs to enhance her qualifications. Her work, however, extends beyond classical psychology—she is also a skilled yoga and meditation instructor.

Her journey into yoga began in Rishikesh, the spiritual capital of India, where she completed a 200-hour program at the “Om Shanti Om” yoga ashram and became an internationally certified instructor. During this period, she also studied Sadhu therapy, one of the ancient Eastern healing techniques.

Seeking further depth, she continued her education at the Kio Retreat center founded by well-known Turkish yoga teacher Çetin Çetintaş. There, she completed an advanced 300-hour yoga instructor training program, bringing her total training to over 500 hours. In addition, she completed the course “Chakras in Asanas,” gaining profound knowledge of the energy body.

Currently based in Baku, Nargiz conducts yoga and meditation workshops, chakra-focused programs, and psychological seminars. In her own studio, she teaches Sadhu therapy and trains new students. Her expertise is also recognized internationally—she has been invited multiple times to speak at events organized by AMOR Youth Organization in Moscow.

Today, Nargiz continues her personal and professional growth, collaborating with two world-renowned Indian gurus—Paramahamsa Vishwananda and Sadhguru—deepening her knowledge and experience through their yoga schools.

She frequently appears on Azerbaijani television and radio, where she shares her insights as both a psychologist and yoga instructor, playing an active role in promoting mental well-being and inner balance in society.
