One of Azerbaijan’s leading psychologist-therapists, Associate Professor Nigar Ruslan qizi Nasirova, PhD, is a highly respected figure who has made a significant impact on the field of psychology through both her academic and practical contributions.
Born on September 16, 1986, in Baku, Nasirova received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology at Baku State University between 2002 and 2008. She continued her doctoral studies between 2012 and 2014 and was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Psychology in 2015.
Currently serving as an associate professor in the Department of Psychology at Baku State University, Nasirova, PhD, has gained over a decade of experience working as a psychologist-therapist, handling a wide range of complex psychological cases.
In her professional practice, she successfully applies modern psychological approaches and therapeutic methods. She extensively uses internationally recognized techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Hypnotherapy, and Brainspotting. These approaches have enabled her to help patients restore their psychological well-being and strengthen their inner balance.
