Today, the healthcare system in Azerbaijan is taking a step towards a new stage of development in the context of the digital revolution, climate change, and the need for sustainable solutions as part of the global healthcare system. The changing needs of the population and the environment, created by the post-pandemic period, increase the demand for the transformation of the healthcare system and require strategic thinking and continuous solutions from healthcare professionals. Having professionals in the management of the healthcare system and services is of particular importance in adapting to changes. The organization of medical services primarily depends on the effective work of professionals in their field. The search for innovative solutions to complex problems, implemented projects, programs ensuring sustainable development of the state, and providing high-quality medical services are among the main priorities of healthcare policy.
The "Healthcare Management Summit," which will take place on November 16, 2023, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of the great leader Heydar Aliyev, will discuss topics related to the overall management skills development of healthcare institutions, establishment of business processes in accordance with specific algorithms in the healthcare system, strengthening management potential, development of human resources, creation of service standards frameworks, steps to improve the quality and efficiency of medical services, as well as exchange of best practices.
The purpose of the event is to ensure effective organization of the healthcare system and services, management of personnel, application and use of information technologies in healthcare, provision of quality medical care, identification of our mistakes in integration with the new world as a usual attempt, and further strengthening of business relations and communication between state and private medical institutions.
Traditional management methods sometimes do not allow for the application of different innovative methods; this desire for integration usually remains an attempt. A number of problems still persist in managing modern healthcare systems. If management is properly organized, the management of processes also works on a unified system basis. It is for this reason that the Summit will discuss the spreading situation of the private sector in Azerbaijan with the concept message of "Making a Difference," effective communication between state and private medical institutions, and the differences in management of medical institutions in the private and public sectors.
The Summit, which will cover a full day, will be held under the slogan "Making a Difference" with the participation of up to 400 leaders and managers, decision-makers in their field. Organized for the first time in the country through the joint organization of "Sağlam Ailə" and "Facemark" companies, the "Healthcare Management Summit" aims to share innovations implemented in the healthcare field worldwide, modern innovations, and pioneering experiences through dialogues, discussions, and exchanges of ideas with the participation of leaders, executive directors, chief physicians of private and public medical institutions, officials of government agencies, businessmen, and entrepreneurs in the healthcare sector.
