Aziz Rafibeyli, the head of the maternity department of German Hospital, an obstetrician-gynecologist with extensive experience and the happiness of many families, is one of the number one doctors in Azerbaijan. Distinguished by his successful results in the field of medicine, the doctor is constantly improving his knowledge and participating in many seminars and trainings. Aziz Rafibeyli shared his views on his work with Health News and spoke about the difficult aspects of gynecology.
- Why did you choose this field?
"Everyone in my family is a doctor. We have the 5th generation successfully continuing the medical profession. That's why I decided to continue this tradition. In the 5th year of the Medical University, I have already chosen gynecology. It is a very difficult and responsible profession. Because you are not responsible for only one person's life".
- What do you think the greatest success of a doctor is?
"Although it is a very difficult field, it is a great feeling to see a family that you give a baby after a long treatment. It is impossible to put into words. The greatest success of a doctor is satisfied patients. They are grateful to you for treatment, birth or surgery, and never forget you after many years. I think that's the greatest happiness and success".
- What are your plans for the future?
"I have a motto - to develop and just move forward. We cannot lag behind in our field. Doctors are constantly developing themselves, using modern methods in their field. I have been working in this field for more than 27 years, I have already formed my own methods. Neither doctor can say "I know everything, I can do everything." Therefore, we are always learning, developing, sharing our experiences with our colleagues. My plans for the future are to learn, to learn and just to learn. Then to educate my children. I hope. that my children will continue our path".
- What are your impressions of the "Global Health Awards" project?
- "My thoughts on the project are very good. It was very good and interesting. As for the organization, it was great. Everything was organized at a high level. Everyone was given great attention and individual approach during the project. In short, everything was great".
